Emanuele Naggi

Born in Tradate, 1990, and grew up with the influence of people closest to him, always watching and following all art in a familiar way. With that direction, in 2010, he embarked on a course of study at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, enrolling in a Bachelor’s program in sculpture, but was interrupted the following year due to lack of stimulus in the academic world and a series of personal events that led to a profound reflection on the role of art in his life and in society.

Technically very versatile, does not favor one single channel of expression. Artistic pieces range from graffiti to sculpture, from jewellery to abstract painting, and from engraving and etching multimedia designs; these modes of expression and their synergy give rise to a personal style very distinct, always very material and tangible.
The experimentation in the use of materials and techniques and research continues, almost spasmodic and impulsive, and is the truth of his being. He believes however, that art is not just a communication or expressions of one's internal state. Art and the essence of art is central, and there is no significance or worth to the art if there is no meaning. A work of art technically complex and masterfully done has no worth if it lacks "meaning". Everything derives from the "soul” of the work, all culminating with it, the soul is what gives life (a soul, in fact) the essence, creating the emotion that goes beyond the aesthetic and rationality, and reaching to the root.
He feeds off what he is, his surroundings, voraciously and without stopping: off of nature, people, things, thoughts, he does it all without realizing it and then like a shock, an image or thought is presented in a very clear manner, a reflection. It activates and gives energy: this "sensation" is the one reality of his life that he perceives to be true. “Truth”, in its most profound core has always been the principal object of his artistic exploration, and when he is able to lock in to this expression in a work, this realization, as if reaching the top of a mountain and looking down all the clouds that up to a moment before covered the infinite valleys, vanish in a puff. It is at this moment that all the questions and thoughts that constantly fill his head, give way to the simplicity and beauty of life
